Iran FM meets Saudi counterpart in Riyadh

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi who has traveled to Saudi Arabia as part of continued diplomatic consultations regarding regional developments met at noon on Wednesday with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

During the meeting, Araghchi reiterated the firm policy of the 14th Iranian government to continue expanding relations with neighboring countries to strengthen regional security, stability, and prosperity, and to increase economic cooperation with regional states.
He also emphasized the implementation of agreements made between the two countries during the 13th Iranian government.

The Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country's determination to continue the path of the past year in strengthening bilateral relations and highlighted the importance of maintaining cooperation and coordination on various issues between the two countries.

In another part of the meeting, Araghchi referred to his visits to Lebanon and Syria, emphasizing the need for an immediate halt to the Zionist regime's military attacks on Gaza and Lebanon to prevent further escalation and widespread conflict in the region.

He called for mobilizing all political resources and capacities of the regional countries to stop the slaughter of innocent people and the destruction of Gaza and Lebanon's infrastructure.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan also reiterated the shared goal of both countries in preserving regional stability and security and expressed Saudi Arabia's readiness to cooperate in achieving this objective.
