New Iranian foreign ministry spokesman condemns G7’s biased approach toward developments in West Asia

In response to the recent G7 statement newly-appointed Spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ismail Baghaei condemned the group’s continued biased and irresponsible approach to the developments in West Asia.

In response to the recent G7 statement, newly-appointed Spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ismail Baghaei condemned the group’s continued biased and irresponsible approach to the developments in West Asia.
He characterized the recent missile operation by the Islamic Republic of Iran against a series of military-security targets of the Zionist regime as a necessary response to the aggressive actions of the occupying regime and within the framework of the inherent right to self-defense.
He further denounced the use of threats and sanctions as tools to pressure the Iranian people.

Baghaei emphasized the firm resolve of the Islamic Republic of Iran to safeguard national security and the vital interests of the Iranian people in the region.
He described the irresponsible interventions of certain extra-regional actors, particularly the United States, through its ongoing comprehensive support of the occupying Israeli regime, as the primary cause of instability in West Asia.
He stressed that if the G7 is truly concerned about regional peace and security, it should use its leverage to immediately halt the genocide of Palestinians and the Zionist regime’s aggressions against Lebanon, Syria, and other countries in the region.

The newly-appointed foreign ministry spokesperson reminded the G7 member states, especially the U.S., of their clear responsibility for exacerbating insecurity and instability in West Asia due to their comprehensive military, financial, and political support for the aggressor party.
He warned of the severe consequences this approach could have on regional and global peace and stability.
