Iran FM meets Lebanon parliament chief in Beirut

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held talks with Lebanons Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri as he continued his consultations with Lebanese officials over the developments in Lebanon and the region.

Araghchi extended greetings from the leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution to the brave and resistant people of Lebanon and offered condolences to the Lebanese side over the martyrdom of Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and other resistance leaders. He stressed that the pure blood of these martyrs will guarantee the continuation of the honorable path of resistance in Lebanon.

Araghchi underscored the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to fully support Lebanon against the acts of aggression by the occupying Zionist regime as part of Iran's responsible policy to protect regional peace and stability against the expansionist and evil moves of the Zionist regime, end the genocide in Gaza and stop the aggression against Lebanon as a requirement for the restoration of stability and peace to the region.

The foreign minister underlined the importance of more active coordination by Muslim countries and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to put pressure on the Western supporters of the Zionist regime to curb it and said it is the moral, Islamic, and legal responsibility of all Muslim and Arab nations to not allow the occupying regime to breach the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon and other Islamic countries.

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for supporting Lebanon and the resistance against the occupation and aggression.
He emphasized the patient resolve and tireless will of the Lebanese people to confront the occupation and aggression.

Berri further called for a more effective use of diplomatic tools to explain the current dangerous situation in Lebanon and to prevent the realization of Israel's evil goal of preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the Lebanese refugees.
The Lebanese parliament speaker stressed that Muslim and Arab nations have a collective responsibility in this regard.
