Iran FM on X: Tehran not to remain indifferent to recent aggression of Zionist regime against Lebanon

Seyed Abbas Araghchi categorically denied reports from certain media outlets quoting the Iranian President as stating that Iran is prepared to reduce tensions with Israel. He emphasized that Mr. Pezeshkian has made no such statements whatsoever.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, in an interview with the political correspondent of Tasnim News Agency, categorically denied reports from certain media outlets quoting the Iranian President as stating that Iran is prepared to reduce tensions with Israel. He emphasized that Mr. Pezeshkian has made no such statements whatsoever.

Araghchi stressed that, contrary to what has been reported, President Pezeshkian, during a meeting with several American media executives, strongly condemned the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and its aggression against Lebanon, affirming that these crimes are in no way consistent with any human or international standards and must be halted. He also explicitly declared that these crimes, including the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh in Tehran, will not go unanswered, and this response will be carried out in due course.

Araghchi further added that the Islamic Republic of Iran will certainly not remain indifferent to the recent aggression of the Zionist regime against Lebanon and will fully defend and support Lebanon in every possible way.
