Iran Bulgaria FMs talk on phone discuss Palestine ties

Bulgarias Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi congratulated him on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran wishing him success in his new post.

Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov, in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi, congratulated him on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wishing him success in his new post.

Kondov referred to the strong existing relations between Iran and Bulgaria and expressed his country's readiness to advance the issues on the bilateral agenda and further expand relations with the Islamic Republic.

Araghchi reciprocated by congratulating Ivan Kondov on his recent appointment as Bulgaria's Minister of Foreign Affairs. He expressed Tehran's desire to continue political dialogue and enhance cooperation with Bulgaria, particularly in the economic field.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also highlighted the dire situation in Gaza and the urgent need for humanitarian aid for Palestinians in the besieged enclave.

He emphasized that Iran supports any agreement endorsed by the Palestinians and the Hamas movement aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the territory.

During the phone call, the foreign ministers of Iran and Bulgaria also discussed and exchanged views on several consular issues.
