Pakistan expresses full support for Iran in confronting threats

Ali Bagheri met and held talks with Pakistans Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar as part of his meetings on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting in the Saudi city of Jeddah.

The Acting Foreign Minister of Iran, Ali Bagheri, met and held talks with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar as part of his meetings on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting in the Saudi city of Jeddah.

Bagheri praised the Pakistani government and nation for their stance in supporting the Islamic Republic of Iran after the criminal Zionist regime launched an aggression on Iran’s sovereignty and national security.

He further said, “Fortunately, we are witnessing the formation of a general mobilization in the world public opinion, especially in the Muslim world, in condemning the Zionists.”

The senior Iranian diplomat added, “Israel is an evil entity whose goal is not just Palestine, but the regime’s goal is to target the security of all Islamic countries.”

Pointing to the Israelis’ long list of terrorist acts in many regional and Islamic countries, Bagheri said, “The common feature of the assassinations is that the Zionists did not face a heavy cost and the regime authorities view assassination as a strategic policy which does not cost them much.”

“Therefore, the Zionists’ approach should be considered a threat to all Muslim states and it should be dealt with decisively,” he added.

For his part, the Pakistani foreign minister strongly lamented the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

Pointing out that Pakistan declared a day of national mourning following the terrorist crime of targeting a Palestinian leader,
Ishaq Dar noted that the Pakistani government, political and parliamentary circles as well as the nation widely and strongly condemned the crime.

He expressed confidence in the Pakistani government and nation’s solidarity and full support for the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The top diplomat said Pakistan will use its capacity of future membership in the (UN) Security Council to support Iran, explaining General Assembly meetings will also provide a good opportunity to talk and win the countries’ support against the Zionist regime’s aggression.

He stressed, “Iran has a smart position and the Islamic Republic has a lot of experience in dealing with such threats.”
