Iran UAE FMs hold meeting stress on continuation of brotherly ties after President Raisi’s demise

The United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is in Tehran to participate in the international memorial ceremony for martyred President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian paid tribute on Wednesday to the late president and foreign minister and prayed for them.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is in Tehran to participate in the international memorial ceremony for martyred President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, paid tribute on Wednesday to the late president and foreign minister and prayed for them.

 

Al Nahyan also met with Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri and held talks with him.

 

The UAE foreign minister conveyed the messages of condolences and sympathy by Emirati President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to top Iranian officials, government and people.

 

He said his trip to Iran in these hard times was aimed at expressing the depth of cordiality and solidarity and emphasizing the fraternal ties between the two countries and the nations.

 

Meanwhile, Bagheri appreciated the heartfelt messages and remarks by senior Emirati officials. He stated that the sympathy and companionship at tough times are a valuable asset for cooperation in order to jointly use the opportunities and face the menaces and challenges that pose threats against the regional peace, stability and security.

 

Citing President Raisi's strategic approach in foreign policy, the acting Iranian foreign minister said the neighborhood policy was a smart approach by the martyred president.

 

He asserted, “As the policy has been approved by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, it should be reiterated that removing tensions in ties with the neighbors is the definite and strategic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and is an efficient strategy for regional cooperation that will definitely continue.”
