Iran Vietnam stress on furtherance of ties based on bilateral agreements

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian hosted Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang on Monday evening.

During the meeting, Amirabdollahian expressed his satisfaction with the development of bilateral ties between Tehran and Hanoi. Referring to the visit by the Vietnamese parliament speaker to Tehran on the 50th anniversary of forging political ties between the two countries, he underlined the importance of joint efforts to boost and elevate cooperation in various political, economic, commercial, scientific, and cultural fields.

For her part, the Vietnamese deputy foreign minister highlighted the long history of diplomatic ties between the two countries and the commonalities between the two nations. She said the bilateral relations are “growing and satisfactory.”

Nguyen Minh Hang also presented a report on her talks with her Iranian counterpart at the 8th meeting of the political advisory committee of the two countries, stating that the talks had “useful and fruitful” results.

She reiterated that Vietnam is determined and committed to promoting bilateral ties with Iran in various political, economic and scientific fields, noting that the deals struck between Tehran and Hanoi have to be followed up and implemented.
