Iranian South African top diplomats stress Palestinian people’s suffering should end

Iran’s Foreign Minister spoke on Wednesday with South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ms. Naledi Pandor on bilateral and regional issues. The developments in Palestine particularly in Gaza took center stage in the negotiations.

 

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian spoke on Wednesday with South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ms. Naledi Pandor on bilateral and regional issues. The developments in Palestine particularly in Gaza took center stage in the negotiations.

 

During the phone call, the Iranian foreign minister said he was pleased with the growing ties between the two countries.

 

He also hailed the South African government and nation for voicing their firm and open support for the oppressed Palestinian people.

 

Amirabdollahian underlined the joint efforts by the two countries in the international arena to denounce the Zionist regime’s atrocities and for taking practical measures to stop the conflict and alleviate the suffering of the oppressed people of Palestine.

 

For her part, Ms. Pandor highlighted the South African government and nation’s clear stance in support of the Palestinian people aimed at stopping the Israeli regime’s crimes.

 

She said, “Fortunately, the South African people agree on the government’s positions, and in this regard, the South African government has officially asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to launch a probe into the crimes committed against the Palestinian people.”
