In a letter to Zhang Ming, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amirabdollahian, expressed Tehran’s deep concerns regarding the ongoing crimes of the Zionist occupation regime.

He demanded the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's reaction to halt the attacks in the Gaza Strip, to stop the crime against humanity, and to hold the aggressor regime accountable.

The Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs referred to the support of the United States and some Western countries for the Zionist regime as the basis for its continued perpetration of crimes and repeated, gross violations of international law.

While highlighting the long history of the Zionist regime's heinous international crimes against the Palestinians, he warned of a potential major humanitarian disaster in Gaza if the international community does not take action.

Amirabdollahian urged the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to condemn the actions of the Zionist regime against the defenseless and oppressed people of Palestine.

He also called for necessary and urgent measures to prevent further gross violations of international law, the cessation of war crimes, and the prevention of genocide in occupied Palestine
