Spain and Iran FMs discuss expanding bilateral relations in phone call

During a recent phone call between Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs and his Spanish counterpart, Jose Manuel Albarez, the two officials discussed and exchanged views on important bilateral issues.
Amirabdollahian highlighted the significance of enhancing relations between Tehran and Madrid, particularly in light of Spain's recent parliamentary elections.
He also mentioned Iran's dialogue and cooperation with the European Union during Spain's rotating presidency over the bloc.
Albarez, in turn, welcomed the expansion of cooperation between the two nations, acknowledging their historical ties.
The Spanish Foreign Minister further expressed Madrid's readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
