Senior Qatari official meets Iran FM Amirabdollahian in Tehran
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has described bilateral relations between Iran and Qatar in different sectors and their cooperation in key regional and international issues as important.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has described bilateral relations between Iran and Qatar in different sectors and their cooperation in key regional and international issues as important.
Amirabdollahian made the remark during a meeting with Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, the Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
In the meeting, Amirabdollahian referred to his telephone conversations with the secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and officials of some Islamic countries and underlined the need to hold an emergency meeting of the OIC about the desecration of the Holy Quran.
Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs also stressed the importance of expanding ties between the two countries.
He also submitted an invitation letter from the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi.
