Iran’s new ambassador to China meets with foreign minister before starting mission

Iran’s new Ambassador to China Mohsen Bakhtiyar held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian ahead of his departure for the location of his diplomatic posting and offered him a report related to his mission.

 

Iran’s new Ambassador to China Mohsen Bakhtiyar held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian ahead of his departure for the location of his diplomatic posting and offered him a report related to his mission.

Amirabdollahian referred to the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Iran and China, calling for an all-out implementation of the 25-year cooperation program between the two countries and the pursuit of the comprehensive agreements reached during President Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to Beijing in February 2022.

Emphasizing the priority of the 13th administration in deepening relations with Asian countries, the foreign minister reaffirmed the need to make maximum use of the capacities of cooperation with China bilaterally, regionally and internationally.

Bakhtiyar has previously served as Deputy Minister of Energy in Planning and Economic Affairs, Acting Deputy Energy Minister, Director General of the Export Promotion Office, Advisor to the Minister of Energy in the provision and preparation of foreign financial resources, and Director General of the Integrated and Strategic Planning Office of the Ministry of Energy.
