Iran, Oman foreign ministers hold phone talks, discuss latest in nuclear talks and regional developments

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, in a phone call with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, discussed the latest developments in negotiations to lift anti-Iran sanctions and the relations between the two countries in various areas of political and economic relations.

The Iranian foreign minister emphasized the necessity of fully putting into practice the decisions and agreements reached between the high-ranking officials of the two countries in various sectors of relations.

Amirabdollahian also emphasized the seriousness of the Islamic Republic of Iran since the start of the sanctions lifting negotiations to achieve a good, strong and lasting agreement and appreciated Oman’s efforts in this line.

For his part, the foreign minister of Oman called Iran’s role in the region important and emphasized the expansion of cooperation at the regional level.

Albusaidi added, “We consider the continuation of efforts to reach an agreement important and fruitful.”

Referring to the recent phone call between the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Oman’s foreign minister praised Iran’s constructive policy in developing relations with its neighbors and emphasizing on regional cooperation.
