Nicaragua’s Minister of Transport meets with Iranian assistant foreign minister
Nicaragua’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Oscar Mojica Obregón, who is in Tehran to attend the Sister Cities event, met with Issa Kameli, the Iranian assistant foreign minister and general-director of the ministry’s America department, for talks on the agenda of expanding bilateral cooperation.
Nicaragua’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Oscar Mojica Obregón, who is in Tehran to attend the Sister Cities event, met with Issa Kameli, the Iranian assistant foreign minister and general-director of the ministry’s America department, for talks on the agenda of expanding bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Kameli referred to the commonalities between the two countries and the revolutionary positions of Iran and Nicaragua, expressing satisfaction with the growing trend of bilateral ties in different aspects. He also called for utilization of all technical and scientific capabilities toward the development of mutual cooperation.
For his part, the Nicaraguan minister recalled the coincidence of the victory of the two countries’ revolutions, saying the Islamic Republic of Iran and Nicaragua are flag-bearers of peace and supporters of countries’ right to decide their fate.
He said there is a variety of opportunities and grounds for the enhancement of ties between the two sides, which should be perfectly used.
The official said his visit to Tehran was partly aimed at getting to know Iran’s technical and scientific capabilities, among other goals.
