Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman react to the proposal of a British lawmaker

In response to a question by journalists about the proposal of a British lawmaker that three Iranians be added to the sanctions list of the UK, Khatibzadeh said, the British government surely knows that any wrong move in this regard will not only be non-constructive but it will also make matters more complicated.

In response to a question by journalists about the proposal of a British lawmaker that three Iranians be added to the sanctions list of the UK, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said, “We are aware of the discussions by British MPs about the proposal that three of our compatriots be put on the country’s humanitarian sanctions list”.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed, “We strongly reject the baseless accusations against our compatriots”. Khatibzadeh added that Iran is monitoring the issue. He also said the British government surely knows that any wrong move in this regard will not only be non-constructive but it will also make matters more complicated.
