Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Fuad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, held a telephone conversation in which they discussed and exchanged views on bilateral issues, regional developments, and current trends. The two ministers, referring to the most important issues in Iran-Iraq relations, emphasized the state of stability and security along the shared borders of the two countries and the necessity of continued coordination. The two sides also, stressing the need to adopt responsible approaches toward regional developments, underscored the importance of preventing the escalation of tensions and the expansion of the scope of conflicts in the region.
