Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Bafel Talabani, leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Iraq, held a phone conversation during which they stressed the development of economic and trade ties, strengthening security coordination along their shared borders, and combating terrorism.The Iranian Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation to the Iraqi government and people for their commendable hospitality toward Arbaeen pilgrims, particularly in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.During the phone conversation, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, particularly in the Sulaymaniyah area, with a focus on developing and expanding economic and trade cooperation.The two sides also stressed the need to strengthen security coordination and cooperation with the aim of maintaining security along their shared borders, ensuring stability in border areas, and effectively countering terrorist threats in accordance with the security agreement between Iran and Iraq.
