Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei strongly condemned the aggressive and terrorist operations of the Zionist regime against various areas of Lebanon, which have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of Lebanese citizens, the destruction of residential homes, and damage to the country's infrastructure. He also warned of the serious and immediate consequences of the occupying regime's continued warmongering and genocidal actions for regional peace and security. The Foreign Ministry Spokesman deemed the United States' direct responsibility in this situation as self-evident. Referring to Paragraph 1 of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Cessation of War, dated June 18, 2026, which explicitly stipulates that a halt to hostilities in Lebanon is an integral component of the ceasefire agreement across all fronts, he emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will take all necessary measures to safeguard its interests, security, and rights, as well as those of its allies.
