Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, congratulated the government and people of Bangladesh on the successful holding of the country’s parliamentary elections.   He described the elections as a manifestation of the will of the Bangladeshi people in determining their own destiny and an important step toward the nation’s progress.   Baghaei also expressed hope that friendly relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries would further expand and deepen in the new term.
