Foreign Minister of Egypt, Badr Abdal-Atti, had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, regarding regional and international developments and bilateral ties.
The Iranian foreign minister, while shedding light on the incidents of the past few days and the peaceful protests that turned violent by violence-seeking agents of foreign entities that resulted in killing of many citizens, briefed his Egyptian counterpart on details of foreign interventions and the riots.
During the phone call, Araghchi strongly condemned the provocative statements by US officials which are considered a clear interference in Iran’s internal affairs.
The Iranian foreign minister, while emphasizing the awareness and unity of the Iranian people against terrorists the terrorist events of the past days, underlined the Iranian people’s determination to defend the country's national sovereignty and security against any wickedness and foreign interference.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian foreign minister expressed regret over the terrorist events and emphasized the importance of close consultations and cooperation among regional countries to strengthen regional stability and security.
