Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei has held a telephone conversation with Iran’s Ambassador to Caracas Ali Chegeni. During the conversation, Baqaei appreciated the efforts of the ambassador and the staff of Iran’s embassy in Caracas and was briefed on the latest developments in Venezuela and the situation in the country.   While reaffirming Iran’s principled stance and its condemnation of the US military aggression and the violation of Venezuela’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Baqaei voiced confidence that the Venezuelan people, by preserving national unity and cohesion, will safeguard their independence and national interests and continue down the path of development and progress.   The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Venezuela outlined the measures taken to fulfill his assigned duties, saying, thank God, all Iranian nationals residing in Venezuela are in good health, and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to provide any assistance to compatriots living in the Latin American country.
