Iran's top diplomat, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, and Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, held a telephone conversation this Tuesday afternoon during which they discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
During the call, the two sides exchanged views on the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.
The two foreign ministers also consulted regarding the upcoming meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the draft resolution proposed by the three European countries concerning Iran’s nuclear issue.
The situation in Palestine and Gaza, the implications of the newly adopted United Nations Security Council resolution, the imperative of halting the killing and genocide of the Palestinian people, and the need to ensure the full realization of the rights of the Palestinian nation—foremost among them the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state—were also among the central topics of discussion.
