Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi spoke on Monday by phone with his Afghan counterpart Amir Khan Muttaqi. During the telephone conversation, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and the current situation in the region.   Araghchi underlined the Islamic Republic of Iran’s readiness to do all it can to help preserve peace and stability in the surrounding region. He also underscored the importance of strengthening consultations among the concerned countries in order to achieve this objective.   The Afghan foreign minister appreciated the diplomatic efforts made so far and welcomed the continuation of regional consultations aimed at helping improve the situation.
