In the wake of the powerful earthquake in the Khulm region of Balkh Province, Afghanistan, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei extended Iran's sincere sympathy toward the honorable people of Afghanistan, especially the families of the victims. He also prayed to God for the speedy recovery and well-being of those injured and affected by the disaster. The Foreign Ministry spokesman also announced Iran’s readiness to provide any form of assistance to Afghanistan in the rescue and relief operations for the victims and the possible survivors.
