The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baqaei, strongly condemned the aggressive airstrikes carried out by the Zionist regime on Thursday targeting southern and Beqaa regions of Lebanon, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several innocent civilians, including students at a school in the Beqaa area.   He described the attacks as a terrorist crime and extended condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Lebanon, emphasizing the need to prosecute and punish the Zionist regime for its crimes.   The spokesperson, referring to the continued impunity of the Zionist regime due to comprehensive support from the United States, stated that the regime’s repeated violations against Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, along with its persistent breaches of the ceasefire agreement, are clear evidence of its terrorist and hegemonic nature.   He reminded the international community and the United Nations Security Council of their responsibility to confront the Zionist regime’s lawlessness and crimes.
