Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He underlined the importance of both countries’ commitment to using this opportunity to ensure a reduction of tensions and the sustainability of peace in the region.   Baqaei described the prudent move of Indian and Pakistani leaders to halt the hostilities as a responsible and wise action and expressed hope that the situation between New Delhi and Islamabad will return to normal as soon as possible
