The Iranian Foreign Minister’s Special Representative for West Asia, Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, delivered a comprehensive update on the latest developments in Lebanon to Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in a phone call.
Sheibani detailed efforts to halt the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and establish a ceasefire there.
Since the onset of the Israeli aggression and after the Iranian ambassador to Beirut sustained injuries, Sheibani has been instructed by the foreign minister to stay in Lebanon and actively engage in diplomatic talks with the Lebanese government and other relevant parties to help stop the attacks.
He presented a report on his meetings with Lebanese officials and various foreign ambassadors residing in Beirut.
Meanwhile, Araghchi underscored the steadfastness of the resistance front, particularly the resilience of the Lebanese people in recent weeks against the occupying army's attacks, and praised the courageous fighters in southern Lebanon.
He reiterated Iran's all-out support for and solidarity with the Lebanese people, government, and the honorable resistance.
