Iran’s spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, strongly condemned the terrorist act by the American government inside Iraq’s soil which led to the martyrdom of several members of the resistance forces against terrorism, including Abu Baqir al-Saadi, one of the senior commanders in the fight against terrorism and Daesh.
Kanaani called it a clear example of state terrorism by America, which violates national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq, as well as international laws and regulations.
Kanaani emphasized that the aggressive act by the terrorist forces of CENTCOM in Baghdad was carried out in line with the continuation of the full support of the American government for the crimes perpetrated by the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Palestine.
While congratulating and offering condolences to the nation and government of Iraq and the families of these martyrs, Kanaani considered the continuation of such adventurism by the U.S. as a threat to regional and international peace and security.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again emphasized the responsibility of the international community, as well as the United Nations Security Council, in preventing illegal and unilateral actions and attacks by the United States in the region and preventing the aggravation of areas of crisis and instability.
