Iran FM Syria premier meet in Tehran
Amirabdollahian welcomed the Syrian prime minister and his entourage to the Islamic Republic of Iran and quoted the first vice president of Iran as describing Arnus’s visit as important and that fruitful discussions were held between the two sides.
    Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met with Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnus. In the meeting, Amirabdollahian welcomed the Syrian prime minister and his entourage to the Islamic Republic of Iran and quoted the first vice president of Iran as describing Arnus’s visit as important and that fruitful discussions were held between the two sides.   He referred to the meeting between the presidents of Iran and Syria, adding that naturally, the Syrian prime minister's trip is an important development in bilateral relations that aimed to follow up and implement the Tehran-Damascus agreements.   Also referring to the developments in Gaza and Palestine, Amirabdollahian described the full support of the US to the Zionist regime as the most important factor in the continuation of the regime's aggression against the defenseless people of Gaza.   Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnus for his part said he was pleased to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran and described his talks with Iran's first vice president and other Iranian officials as fruitful.   Pointing to the agreements reached between Tehran and Damascus, he stressed the need for the two countries to further expand their relations.   The Syrian prime minister added that the cohesion and unity within the resistance front caused the US and Zionist regime's plot to destroy Gaza, displace the Palestinians there and destroy the resistance to fail
