Zambry Abdul Kadir, Malaysian Foreign Minister, who is visiting Tehran, met with Mohammad Hassan Sheikholeslami, Head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry's Institute for Political and International Studies. The meeting happened during Zambry Abdul Kadir's visit to the Document Verification Office of the Iranian Foreign Ministry. The two officials discussed bilateral cooperation between Iran and Malaysia in research, think tank and academic affairs as well as expansion of their cooperation regarding documents and the holding of document exhibitions by the two countries. Zambry Abdul Kadir described cooperation between Tehran and Kuala Lumpur in think tank and scientific affairs as important and said Malaysia is ready to discuss ways of boosting ties, especially strengthening cooperation with the Institute of Diplomatic and Foreign Relations and the Institute of Strategic and International Studies of Malaysia. In that vein, the two officials agreed that a comprehensive cooperation agreement in scientific, think tank, and document affairs be signed in the near future.
