The President stated, "Islamic Iran, with the blessing of the Islamic Revolution, the blood of the noble martyrs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and with the blessing of the guidance of the wise leader of the Islamic Revolution, despite all the threats and sanctions of the enemy, has been able to progress in various economic, scientific and technological fields, and today it is an advanced and technological country and is ready to share its experiences with the dear people of Kenya". Pointing out that today the Islamic Republic of Iran has valuable experiences and achievements in the fields of petrochemicals, agriculture, fisheries, and science and technology, Dr Raisi pointed out that the field of health and medical equipment is another field in which the two countries can cooperate. The President stated that the cooperation between Iran and Kenya will not be limited and specific only to the two countries, and said, "Just as the Islamic Republic of Iran is a neighbour to the countries of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia and enjoys extensive cooperation, Kenya also has extensive relations with East African countries. And therefore, strengthening the relationship between the two countries will be a basis for wider regional cooperation". Stating that the current level of economic and commercial relations between the two countries is not acceptable, Dr Raisi referred to the goal of increasing economic and commercial cooperation by 10 times in the first step and added, "We have also been able to increase the volume of commercial relations to 8 times in a short period of time, and it is possible that with the will of both sides, this volume can be increased to 20 and 30 times and an acceptable level for the two countries". The President referred to the establishment of the Office of Technology Cooperation in Kenya, which can promote the technological cooperation between the two countries to higher levels, and stated, "The cooperation between the two countries in the field of agricultural production and extraterritorial cultivation can also be effective in expanding bilateral relations". Saying that Africa is a very good market for Iranian products, Dr Raisi clarified, "Today, African countries and our friend Kenya have a great desire to use Iranian products in their markets. The Kenyan authorities have already created suitable grounds for increasing trade relations between the two countries, and with this trip, which will be a turning point in the development of bilateral relations, the market of Iranian goods and services in Kenya and other East African countries will expand day by day". Welcoming and expressing satisfaction with the development of Iran-Kenya relations, the President noted, "In the consultations we had with Mr President today and in the meetings that were held in the morning, we saw the will of the two countries to develop economic, commercial, political and cultural relations between the two countries". Dr Raisi expressed hope that the officials of the two countries will work hard to improve the level of bilateral relations and turn it into a basis for strengthening the regional and international cooperation of the two sides, and said that the two countries can have good cooperation in the regional and international fields as well in the field of defending human rights, fight against corruption, fight against drugs and similar fields. The President stated that today there are no obstacles to the development of the relations between the two countries and this is a suitable platform for the expansion of cooperation in various sectors as well as cooperation with African countries and bring the relations between the two countries to an acceptable level.
