Iran Germany Foreign Ministers hold phone talks

In this telephone conversation, the Iranian Foreign Minister briefed his German counterpart on the ongoing consultations with Oman aimed at determining a safe navigation route for shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Foreign Minister noted that the insecurity imposed on the Strait of Hormuz is exclusively the result of the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, and that the world must hold the US administration accountable for the security and economic consequences arising from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The Foreign Minister further emphasized that securing the Strait of Hormuz requires the cessation of aggressive actions and illegal interventions by the United States, including the naval blockade and other violations of US commitments.
The two sides, while reviewing certain issues related to bilateral relations, stressed the importance of continuing diplomatic consultations between the two countries at various levels.
