The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baqaei, has strongly condemned the ongoing aggressive and terrorist actions by the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon.

The spokesperson described the ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip and the prevention of humanitarian aid amid intensified attacks on refugee camps and temporary shelters by the occupying Zionist regime as clear examples of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

He called for decisive global action to prosecute and punish the leaders of the Zionist regime for genocide and war crimes.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson criticized the United Nations Security Council for its inaction regarding the crimes, calling the United States and some European countries that continue their arms supplies to the Zionist regime accomplices in the regime's crimes.

Baqaei further slammed the Zionist regime for the ongoing violations against Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity through repeated breaches of the ceasefire agreement, air and drone attacks on various regions of Lebanon, and the assassination of political and social activists in the country.

He underlined the responsibility of the UN and the ceasefire guarantors to stop the aggressions and crimes.

The spokesperson stressed that the continuation of impunity for the Zionist regime and the ongoing killing of defenseless people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as the occupation of parts of Lebanon and Syria, severely threatens peace and security in West Asia.

He urged regional countries to take serious measures to prevent the spread of insecurity and counter the expansionism of the apartheid regime.
