Araghchi thanked the top Japanese diplomat for his congratulation on Nowruz and underlined the need for Tehran and Tokyo to bolster and continue their age-old friendly ties.
The foreign ministers of Iran and Japan exchanged views on regional and international issues, emphasizing the use of diplomacy and diplomatic dialogue, particularly concerning Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.
During the conversation, both sides stressed the importance of continuing discussions and consultations to strengthen bilateral relations and promote peace and stability in the region. Araghchi and Takeshi also agreed to arrange meetings and talks between deputy foreign ministers of Iran and Japan in near future.
