Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Naser Kanaani has expressed satisfaction with the release of Bashir Biazar, an Iranian citizen detained in France.

Kanaani stressed that Bashir's safe return to his family was the result of continuous political and consular efforts.

He said protecting the rights of Iranian citizens abroad is an important priority for the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
