China’s new envoy submits credentials to Iran FM
Newly-appointed ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China to the Islamic Republic of Iran Cong Peiwu presented on Wednesday a copy of his credentials to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian at the beginning of his mission in Tehran.

Amirabdollahian welcomed the Chinese envoy and wished him success in this important mission and praised the efforts by his predecessor to promote the Tehran-Beijing ties.
The Iranian foreign minister also expressed confidence that the new ambassador will take the same path to enhance bilateral ties and will double his efforts to especially continue to implement the agreements between the two countries in various fields.
During the meeting, the Chinese diplomat also said he was pleased and proud to start his mission in Iran and conveyed China’s foreign minister’s greeting to the top Iranian diplomat.
Pointing to the visits by the Iranian and Chinse presidents to Beijing and Tehran, Peiwu said the bilateral relations between the two countries are deep and historic with a 2,000-year-old background.
He reiterated that the Chinese president and foreign minister make special efforts to deepen and promote all-out ties with Iran within the framework of the comprehensive document of strategic partnership between the two countries.
