Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who traveled to the southern Persian Gulf for consultations with senior officials of Bahrain and Kuwait, met Tuesday morning with the Crown Prince and Foreign Minister of Kuwait.

During the meeting, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah emphasized the importance of maintaining and enhancing good neighborly relations and brotherhood between Iran and Kuwait.
He called for mobilizing the capacities of regional countries to stop the war, assist refugees, and prevent the escalation of insecurity in the region.
He also expressed Kuwait’s readiness to cooperate and coordinate in this regard.

The Crown Prince reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to preventing the misuse of its land, sea, or airspace to harm neighboring countries.
He emphasized that Kuwait views any instability and tension in the region as detrimental to all countries and peoples of the area and will utilize all its resources to prevent such situations from arising.

In this meeting, which was also attended by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Araghchi presented the views of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the latest regional situation. He reiterated that the policy of good neighborliness and joint cooperation to ensure regional security and stability is a fundamental principle of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign policy. He noted that the current administration is vigorously continuing the neighborhood policy of its predecessor.

Referring to his intensive consultations with regional countries over the past two weeks, which began with Lebanon and Syria, Araghchi described the continued aggressions and crimes of the occupying regime in Gaza and Lebanon as extremely dangerous. He called for increased efforts by all nations, particularly Islamic countries, to immediately stop the genocide and prevent the destruction of vital infrastructure in Lebanon and Gaza.

The Iranian Foreign Minister strongly criticized the impunity of the occupying regime due to its comprehensive support from the U.S. and several other Western countries. He stressed the importance of greater synergy among regional countries and the use of international organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, and other international bodies, to hold the leaders of the Israeli regime accountable and bring them to trial.

In a separate meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Araghchi elaborated on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s position regarding the urgent need to reduce the suffering of the vulnerable people of Gaza and Lebanon and to increase immediate humanitarian aid for the displaced. He stated that the root solution to the crisis lies in the immediate cessation of the Israeli regime’s military attacks, and he reminded that the financial backers and arms suppliers of Israel, particularly the U.S., bear full responsibility in this matter.

Araghchi also emphasized Iran’s principled stance on the necessity of supporting Lebanon and prioritizing the cessation of the Zionist regime’s aggressions against the country. He stated that the decision-making on Lebanon’s internal affairs belongs solely to the Lebanese people and affirmed that Iran supports dialogue and interaction among all factions and parties in Lebanon.

Araghchi highlighted the critical role of the resistance in defending Lebanon against the Zionist regime’s expansionist ambitions and constant warmongering, condemning the biased intervention of certain foreign and Western parties in Lebanon’s internal affairs, especially when Lebanon is under brutal attacks from Israel, as unacceptable.

Kuwait’s Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for Iran’s attention to regional peace and security, noting Kuwait’s contributions to the people of Palestine and Lebanon. He stressed that Kuwait, in close consultation with other regional and international parties, is striving to increase assistance to refugees and halt the war and bloodshed in Gaza and Lebanon.
