Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who has traveled to Iraq at the head of a delegation for consultations with the country’s official government authorities, met and held talks with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein.
In this meeting, the parties examined, in light of the latest regional developments, the perilous situation arising from the ongoing genocide and aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the military-security adventurism of the Zionist regime.
The two top diplomats further strongly condemned the unprecedented aggressions and crimes of the occupying regime in Islamic lands. They called for urgent action by the international community to put an end to the massacre of innocent people in Gaza and Lebanon, to prevent the destruction of infrastructure, and to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to the displaced people.
During the meeting, both sides also reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields of mutual interest between the two neighboring countries. They further emphasized the importance of strengthening ties at all levels.
