Chinese Iranian diplomats denounce Israel’s expansion of aggression amid int’l silence

During the meeting, both sides discussed the developments in the region, especially the Zionist regime’s crimes against the oppressed people in Gaza and the latest incidents related to Syria and Yemen.

Khaji said the Zionist regime’s brutal attacks on the oppressed people in Gaza and the slaughter of tens of thousands of civilians is the outcome of the all-out support by the US and some Western countries for the regime.

He called on the international community to stop the ongoing genocide in Palestine, warning the Zionist regime has expanded its attacks and military aggression to Syria and Lebanon amid the international community’s silence.

Meanwhile, the senior adviser to the Iranian foreign minister raised the alarm over the deteriorating economic and humanitarian situation in Syria and demanded the international community and China actively participate in Syria, especially in advancing the humanitarian goals and reconstruction of the country.

As for Yemen, Khaji warned of the destructive repercussions of illegal US and British attacks on peace efforts in the country. He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports peace talks, solving the humanitarian crisis, and intra-Yemeni political dialogue.

For his part, the Chinese special envoy said putting an end to the Zionist regime’s aggression on Gaza and Lebanon and establishing a ceasefire are the main priorities in West Asia.

Jun underlined that the Palestinian people have the legitimate right to determine their own destiny.

Also referring to Syria, the special envoy highlighted the amicable ties between Beijing and Damascus and expressed the Chinese government’s readiness to effectively get involved in solving the humanitarian and political crisis of the country.

Regarding Yemen, Jun noted an approach should be adopted based on talks and building mutual trust between Yemeni groups in order to advance the goals of peace in the country.
