Protector of Canadas interests summoned received Irans strong protest

Following the Canadian government’s hostile action in describing the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization the Foreign Ministry’s Director-General for the American Affairs Department summoned the Italian ambassador in Tehran who is responsible for protecting Canadas interests.

Following the Canadian government’s hostile action in describing the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, the Foreign Ministry’s Director-General for the American Affairs Department summoned the Italian ambassador in Tehran, who is responsible for protecting Canada's interests.

During the summoning, Iran's strong protest against the illegal action and violation of international law by the Canadian government was conveyed to the protector of Canada's interests. Along with a warning about the consequences of the action in question, Iran's right to take necessary measures and reciprocal actions was emphasized.

The Italian ambassador said that he would promptly convey the matter to the Canadian government.
