Kanaani: Iran-Saudi FMs talks positive
The foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia reached good agreements about future steps toward expanding bilateral relations
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani has responded to a question from reporters regarding the results of the talks between the top diplomats of Iran and Saudi Arabia. Kanaani said the negotiations happened in a very good, positive and constructive atmosphere, and the two sides discussed different issues of mutual interest at the bilateral, regional and international levels.
He added that the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia reached good agreements about future steps toward expanding bilateral relations.
Kanaani said that at the end of their official talks, the top diplomats made some remarks for the media and talked about the results of their discussions regarding bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest.
Kanaani rejected media speculations as to the change of the venue of talking by the two top diplomats to the media as baseless. He said the reason why the venue was changed was technical problems and the impossibility of doing it at the previously designated place. Kanaani added that following the change of the venue, the talking happened at the venue of official negotiations.
