New Russian ambassador meets with Iran foreign minister

The new ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iran, Alexey Dedov, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian at the beginning of his mission on Monday and submitted him a copy of his credentials.

During the meeting, Iran’s Foreign Minister said several meetings and phone calls between the presidents of the two countries are an accelerating factor in the bilateral relations.

Referring to the agreements between the two countries in various areas of cooperation, he expressed hope that the level of bilateral ties will be promoted in line with the existing capacities of the two states.

For his part, the new Russian ambassador in Iran touched on the high level and wide dimensions of cooperation between the two countries and emphasized on the Russian government’s determination to improve relations between Iran and Russia.
