Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has congratulated Hossein Amir Abdollahian on his appointment as Iran’s new foreign minister.
In a message, the Armenian foreign minister expressed hope that during Amir Abdollahian’s tenure, Tehran and Yerevan will continue expanding their friendly relations based on their historical traditions.
Ararat Mirzoyan added, “I’m confident that in this new era, the utmost efforts will be made by the two sides to expand and deepen relations between the two friendly nations.
The Armenian foreign minister underscored that the Islamic Republic of Iran plays a key role in the South Caucasus region and that Armenian is seeking to increase talks with Tehran in various fields in light of the new security challenges and in order to further strengthen ties.
