Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei has strongly condemned the extensive Israeli airstrikes on various areas in southern, central, and northern Gaza, including attacks on Palestinian refugee tents, which have resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Palestinians, many of them innocent children.   Baqaei pointed to Israel’s long history of flagrantly violating all legal and ethical norms, saying the past 24 hours of Israeli attacks against defenseless people in Gaza, carried out under the direct orders of the Zionist regime’s prime minister and in clear breach of the ceasefire agreement, constitute yet another indication of Tel Aviv's deliberate intent to continue the genocide of Palestinians. He stressed that this situation doubles the responsibility of all governments under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide to halt these crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice.   The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman also highlighted the ongoing egregious violations of human rights and humanitarian law in the occupied Palestinian territories, sustained under full US support for the Zionist regime, and stressed the special responsibility of ceasefire guarantors to restrain Israel’s war-mongering and genocidal actions.
