The Chairman and members of the Leadership Council and Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, who are visiting Tehran for high-level meetings with Iranian officials, met Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi. During the meeting, Araghchi congratulated the resilient Palestinian people on their historic victory in Gaza against the Zionist regime’s atrocities and genocide. He emphasized that the steadfast resistance of Gaza’s people—despite the unprecedented scale of the Zionist regime’s genocide—will be eternally recorded in history. He described the resilience and strength of the Palestinian resistance, manifested in the return of displaced Palestinians to their homeland, as a source of immense pride for Muslims and freedom-seekers worldwide. Araghchi stressed that despite committing heinous crimes and massacring thousands of women, children, and defenseless civilians, the Zionist regime was ultimately forced to negotiate and reach an agreement with the very movement it had sought to annihilate. He underlined that the occupying regime failed to achieve its objectives, whereas Hamas, relying on its unwavering faith and deep popular support, compelled the enemy to accept a ceasefire on the resistance’s terms and secured the release of long-imprisoned Palestinian captives. The Foreign Minister also firmly rejected the U.S. president’s proposal to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from Gaza, describing it as an extension of the colonial conspiracy to erase Palestine. He asserted that such a scheme flagrantly violates international law, UN resolutions, and, most importantly, fundamental human principles, making it entirely unacceptable. Referring to his recent phone calls with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the foreign ministers of several Arab and Islamic countries, Araghchi highlighted Iran’s ongoing efforts to convene an emergency ministerial meeting of the OIC. He stressed the urgent need for a unified and decisive stance by Islamic nations against this dangerous conspiracy. Mohammad Ismail Darwish, Chairman of the Hamas Leadership Council, expressed his satisfaction with the visit to Tehran and his meetings with the Supreme Leader, the President, and the Speaker of Parliament. He extended congratulations on two significant occasions—the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory in Iran and the great victory of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza. He also expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support of Iran’s leadership, government, and people for Palestine and the resistance. He paid tribute to the fallen leaders and commanders of the resistance, particularly the martyrs Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, and thousands of Palestinian, Lebanese, Iraqi, Yemeni, and Iranian fighters, including the revered martyr General Qassem Soleimani. He described their sacrifices in the fight against the Zionist regime’s crimes as a defining chapter in the Palestinian struggle. The Hamas chairman declared that the recent victory in Gaza represents a turning point in Palestinian history, inflicting a strategic defeat on the occupying regime across military, political, intelligence, and ethical domains while garnering unprecedented global support for the Palestinian cause. Condemning the U.S. president’s proposal to remove Palestinians from Gaza, he underscored the necessity of a strong and unified position by Arab and Islamic nations against such schemes and in support of the Palestinian people. He affirmed that no force can expel the resilient Palestinian people—who endured over 15 months of genocide yet remained steadfast—from their homeland. He declared that just as they resisted against brutal crimes and aggression, they returned triumphantly to their homes and lands, for they are as deeply rooted in Gaza as its ancient olive trees. Darwish also expressed appreciation for Iran’s continuous and extensive diplomatic efforts in defending the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights in international forums. He voiced hope that with the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, a regional and global initiative would emerge to support Gaza’s reconstruction and alleviate the immense suffering of the Palestinian people.
