Within the framework of the historical brotherly ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Iran and the religious ties, neighborhood, common history, and mutual interests between them, H.E. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, and H.E. Ali Bagheri Kani, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran had a bilateral meeting on Sunday, June 23rd, in Tehran. The meeting took place during the visit of Bahrain’s minister of foreign affairs to the Islamic Republic of Iran at the invitation of the Iranian acting foreign minister to participate in the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) meeting.   During the meeting, the two sides agreed to establish the necessary mechanisms to start talks between the two countries to examine the resumption of political ties.
