Iran’s new Ambassador to Australia meets with Foreign Minister
Ahmad Sadeghi, Iran’s new Ambassador to Australia, held a meeting with Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian ahead of his departure for the location of his diplomatic posting.
Ahmad Sadeghi, Iran’s new Ambassador to Australia, held a meeting with Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian ahead of his departure for the location of his diplomatic posting. During the meeting, the ambassador presented a report on the latest state of relations with Australia and the priorities in his agenda for the future measures to develop the relations between the two countries. For his part, Amirabdollahian offered him a set of guidelines with regards to measures needed for the promotion of consular services that should be provided to the Iranians living in Australia and the adoption of effective strategies for the development of exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various political and commercial fields. Sadeghi has previously been a staff member of the Iranian Embassy in Ottawa, the country’s Permanent Mission to the UN in New York. He was also the interim head of the Iranian Consulate General in Mumbai, as well as the research assistant of the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Foreign Ministry and head of the Third Department of South Asia (India and subcontinent) at the Ministry
