Iran lashes out at Zionist regime for military aggression against southern Syria

The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Esmail Baqaei condemned the Zionist regime’s ground and air assault on the Beit Jinn area in southern Syria and the killing of a number of Syrian citizens.

Emphasizing the inherent right of the region’s nations to defend their national sovereignty and territorial integrity against the Zionist regime’s aggressions, the foreign ministry spokesperson, described the resistance of the Syrian youth against Zionist forces as a natural and legitimate response to acts of aggression.  

 

The spokesperson also pointed to the continued gross violations of international law by the Zionist regime and the expansion of its crimes in the region.

 

He called the inaction of the United Nations Security Council in the face of the Zionist regime’s aggressions against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries in the region, including Syria and Lebanon, regrettable, and warned of the consequences of this situation for global peace and stability.
