Iran’s Consulate General, OIC mission officially re-opened in Jeddah

Iran’s Consulate General in Jeddah and the country’s Permanent Mission to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) were formally re-opened during a ceremony.

Iran’s Consulate General in Jeddah and the country’s Permanent Mission to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) were formally re-opened during a ceremony joined by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriates’ Affairs Alireza Bikdeli, Hassan Zarnegar, caretaker of the Iranian Embassy in Riyadh, Head of the Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Abbas Hosseini, caretakers of the Consulate General and the Permanent Mission, as well as Mazen bin Hamad al-Hamoudi, the head of the Saudi Foreign Ministry Office in Jeddah, counsel generals in Jeddah, representatives of Muslim countries’ missions to the OIC and caretakers of the affairs of Iranian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

The Iranian Permanent Mission to the OIC resumed its activities after the negotiations in Baghdad.

The Consulate General had also been active practically ahead of the departure of Iranian pilgrims for Hajj rituals. It was officially re-opened at the ceremony, during which the Iranian national flag was raised over the mission.
